What type of content does Silk Labyrinth accept?
Silk Labyrinth will accept anything that is useful to our readers. We are particularly interested in travel, food, corsets, sex positive views and personal experiences in any of the mentioned topics. If you have a topic idea not mentioned, please feel free to send us an email with a brief query.
We may send out requests for guest posts on topics to those who have expressed interest in guest blogging. If you are interested in joining this network, please email a request to alynrosselini @ yahoo.com
We will allow links in your articles if they are relevant to the topic you are writing about. We ask that you include proper attribution. Linking to your blog or website is okay only if relevant to the topic. You may link to your own site or sites to buy your book in your byline (see Post Author below).
We would like posts to be at least 200 to 1000 words. For longer posts, please feel free to contact us and we will consider it.
Post Author
We want to help promote you as the author of your article, and so we provide you the opportunity to include a byline. Post author may include an author bio up to 150 words and up to three links. You may also include an image. We recommend that at least one of the links from your byline should lead to a page where readers can learn more about you and how to buy your book(s).
Guest bloggers may link to their own content within the post when applicable, but this is subject to review.
By submitting your post(s), you acknowledge that your post(s) belong to Silk Labyrinth and will be credited to the author. Also, by submission, you allow Silk Labyrinth to share your comments publically. I will send you an email, letting you know when someone has commented. Please interact with your audience.
Review
Silk Labyrinth reserves the right to review and edit for grammar. We regularly edit posts by our contributors and guest bloggers. We will not rewrite your article, but may make grammatical changes, minor edits, title changes, photo changes, and other changes. If a post needs improvement, we will return it to you with suggestions. Please do not be offended if we suggest changes.
No payment will be involved for guest blog content.
Silk Labyrinth reserves the right to make links within an author’s text to other posts in the Silk Labyrinth Group Network (including company websites and blogs).
Publishing of the blog post will be done at the discretion of Silk Labyrinth. After a post is approved, it may be several days before it is actually published.
Silk Labyrinth reserves the right to decline publishing any post or to remove a post after it has been published.
Images
Images are great for garnering attention and will be accepted. They should be low-res .jpeg files. You must have permission to use an image. Proper attribution is required. If you do not submit an image, Silk Labyrinth may include one with your post. You may also include an image of yourself and your book.
Housekeeping
- The post must be useful to the readers of this blog
- The post must be grammatically correct and well-written
- The post must not include marketing-related links and must not be entirely self-promotional. This is why we include an author byline.
- Posts must be original and may not have been published elsewhere online already
- Use short paragraphs or bullet points to make the post easier to read
- Silk Labyrinth reserves the right to verify originality using online tools
- Spam, pornography, offensive content, and profanity are not accepted.
How should I submit content?
Email me your idea for a post and include "Guest Blogging for Silk Labyrinth" in the subject line. Please include a short suggested title that sums up your idea and incorporates a few keywords. Most of my readers are non-fiction writers, but I'll occasionally publish posts about other genres, too.
